Description

This magnetic disc, also known as “round magnet”, is made of AlNiCo, the name of an alloy consisting of Aluminum (Al), Nickel (Ni) and Cobalt (Co). Unlike Neodymium, they are produced with press-fusion technique.

The most notable quality of Alnico magnets is their remarkable temperature resistance: in fact, they can be heated up to 650°C, the highest value for a permanent magnet, without having their normal performance altered.
This unique feature, combined to their relatively strong coercitivity, makes them the ideal choice in many specific applications, such as sensors, relays, audio equipment (a favourite choice for electric guitars!), lab equipment and many more!

Please note: Although Alnico magnets have a high coercitivity value (which means they do not demagnetize easily), you should avoid placing them in direct contact with more powerful Neodymium magnets.
