This magnetic block with countersunk hole is made of neodymium which is the strongest material you can find on the magnet’s market.

This magnet has lateral magnetization.
This means that the magnetic field’s direction is through the side of the magnet, not through the thickness.
Such type of magnetization is very useful to create magnetic couplings when the space available is very minimal.
Since the full force of the magnet is on its sides, you can take full advantage of the small thickness of the magnet without sacrificing the performance.

The countersunk hole magnets have a wide range of uses, due to their high magnetic strength and ability to be easily attached to surfaces using screws and bolts.
